| This house is on a country lot that is just under 2 acres. There are many mature trees, making it a beautiful place in spring and summer. Although the house needed many updates when we bought it in 2002, we fell in love with the park-like country setting and decided to buy and renovate the house. Now almost 7 years later we have finished fully renovating every room, and we can proudly say the house is just as beautiful as the property. All the woodwork including trim, doors, and hardwood floors has been restored to it's original beauty. The house has been updated to modern standards with new wiring, windows, insulation, drywall, siding, roofing, and central air. We love the house and planned to live here indefinitely, but as we've gotten more involved with a church 35 minutes away we've finally decided to move there so we can be closer to our church and friends.
Here are some of the details: About the house:
Although we have finished all major renovation and the living spaces are completely done, there are a few older-house quirks and some loose ends that we haven't gotten to yet that we will be happy to honestly point out. For example we planned to put new gutters on the house this summer, and one of the original wood spindles on the uniqued curved staircase has been missing since we bought the house. (We always figured we'd get a duplicate made by a woodworker one of these days.) About the location:
