I have 6 2x4 2" panels on each side wall at the first reflection point, and 6 on the rear wall. They made a dramatic difference, and in fact were what enabled me to upgrade my sound system to the Wilson Maxx2 speakers. Without them, my room acoustics just weren’t suitable for high-end audio use.
