These 4-prong angled-prong impalers are larger than our 8-prong straight impalers. The angled prongs provide a stronger hold than straight prongs do. Recommended as an upgrade when panels may be disturbed (bumped by students, etc), or a strong hold is desired without the use of construction adhesive.

Installation Information
Note that prior to impaling the panel must be positioned about 0.5 inches above it’s desired final position as it will move down during impaling. For a simpler straight push-on solution (where extra hold strength is not needed) see 8-prong acoustic panel impaling clips.
Use 4 clips per 8 sq feet (24"x48" piece) of acoustic fiberglass panel. For panel applications requiring an air gap, standoffs can be installed between the impaling clips and the wall.
Assuming a firm substrate in good condition, and appropriate drywall anchors (if applicable), it’s not necessary to put a fastener in each of the 6 holes. Extra holes are provided for options of what part of the substrate to screw or anchor into. We recommend two screws in the top edge and one in the bottom edge of the clip.
Construction adhesive, such as Liquid Nails, is not necessary for typical installations of 1 inch or 2 inch thick panels with this style of impaling clip, Construction adhesive is recommended for 4 inch thick or unusually heavy panels.
Note: These clips are not for hanging wood-framed ATS Acoustic Panels (see our Professional Installation Kits for that type of application). These anchors are for hanging fiberglass and mineral wool rigid boards (not soft batts). They will work well with ATS Acoustics Hardened-Edge Acoustic Panels.
Warning: Improper installation of acoustic panels can create a safety hazard and result in injury or death. ATS Acoustics provides general information about installation methods. This information and any included fasteners may not be applicable to some products, substrates, or installation circumstances. Each customer is responsible to determine safe installation methods for their specific situation, and to comply with local building codes.
