I just received a case of six 24”x48”x2” Applegate Cotton Batts yesterday. I didn’t order any finishing materials yet because I wanted to see the batts in-person before I decide what I’m going to do with them. The two characteristics that are worth mentioning are that the batts are 1.5” thick not 2” and they are stiff enough to be propped against a wall without collapsing.

Even though I’m almost 60 years old and have been a (low budget) audiophile all my life, this is my first experience using acoustic room treatment with my own equipment. I know where the first reflection wall locations are in my room for my sweet spot and six panels covers most of them. My very first thought when listening was, “Where’s all the loudness I used to have?” At first, I thought the panels were robbing me of a sound level that I spent money to be able to produce, but then I realized what was missing was the glariness. I began to notice that all of the music intensity was still there, but sharper and clearer than I ever heard it before. For the first time I truly understand what audiophiles mean by the word fatigue.

My wife and I watched the entire Led Zeppelin Celebration Day DVD easily and eagerly, even though we had just watched it a few days before. When it was over I asked my wife if she wanted me to put the batts away for now and she said, while getting a few of her favorite CD’s and DVD’s out, “No leave them there I’m going to listen to some stuff tomorrow.” If you knew my wife, you would know that that says more in favor of acoustic treatment than anything I said above.

I just received and installed a single ATS Acoustic 24 x 36 x 2 Panel and I am thrilled. I have a vintage Marantz 2270 driving a set of Sony SS-M7A speakers in a very small room. Without the the acoustic panel the sound from my system was shrill. The difference with the addition of the acoustic panel is amazing. The system is now smooth with gorgeous transient response. I could not be more pleased. Thanks for the quick delivery, a great looking product, and most importantly a solution to my sonic dilemma.

The echo in our dining room was too much to allow for a good conversation so we went in search of something to reduce the echo. We found ATS and purchased a package of 6 mineral wool 24 x 48 x 2 insulation pieces. After building simple plywood frames, inserting the insulation and then adding some decorative fabric stapled to the back, we ended up with five panels. Acoustically a few more panels would help, but we are quite happy with the reduction of echo in our room and the aesthetic improvements. The price was excellent and the material is easy to work with. They have been in use for a couple of years, and we love how they look and perform!

We had the opening of the S.M.A.R.T. Cafe at the DuPage Children’s Museum yesterday. I just wanted to send a picture of the printed acoustic tiles so that you could see them in place. I hope that if you are in our neck of the woods you’ll stop by and see them in person.

I used a whole truck load of Roxul AFB & Rockboard 60 for my Studio. I got it direct from ATS Acoustics at a price much lower than anywhere else. The stuff really absorbs sound. First photos is of my home recording studio finished with 4" Roxul insulation. Hidden "bass traps" using scraps of Roxul AFB lurk behind the slat walls. In the second photo, I built these 24 x 48 panels using 2" Roxul Rockboard 60 from ATS Acoustics.

I recently ordered (6) 2x4 panels and (2) 2x3-4" panels for my home theater room. Well, I finally got the correct pieces of furniture shipped to me and my panels mounted on the walls. The acoustical improvements to this room are amazing. The bass is slightly improved...but the real improvement involves the reduction in "ringing."

This home theater / listening room has been something I’ve spent years designing. Your panels were the icing on the cake. Thank you so much for providing such an effective and affordable solution.

Made our own panels using ATS materials. This is half of the live room at The Media Cube in Cleveland, OH. We have panels along the side walls as well. Very pleased with your product.

Acoustic Panels built with ATS materials, Roxul Rockboard 60, ATS Acoustics Rigid Fiberglass & Owens Corning 703 Rigid Fiberglass. Base Traps are Roxul 60 Cut and stacked in each corner floor to celining and the cover is 703 in a 2" frame to cover the stacks.

The wall behind the speakers is 4" of Roxul AFB, and I’m sure you recognize the side wall panels. The product works very well and is easier to work with than I expected. We receive a lot of compliments on the coffee-theme panels.
