Hello ATS, I used your 2" 703 to build my DIY side wall and ceiling first reflection panels, seen here front view. I also purchased the green burlap wrap used on the corner broadband bass traps from you and the "z" clips to hang the side wall panels in (3) point contact firmly w/o any rattle.

I want to thank all of you for your ideas, suggestions and quick responses to my questions. I also thank the people at RotoFast who helped me modify their anchors so the panels are easily removable. All your products and customer service are to be commended.

Attached are photos of my media room after replacing the speakers, modifying the entertainment center cabinets, and adding ATS Roxul Rockboard 60 sound panels covered with ATS fabric. The difference in both appearance and sound are astounding.

Excellent products ATS! Your DIY frames and materials were a super and cost effective solution for me. After assembling some (39) panels of yours, I have a room that I can record in.

Just installed two 24x48’’ 2-inch thick panels behind my speakers. Great price, fast shipping, quality construction and they work beautifully. Keep up the good work!

This is my two-channel listening room. The room was very noisy. The panels helped reduce reflections which warmed up the high frequencies and seemed to have improved the bass as well (most likely by just cleaning up the sound). A pair of speakers that can seem bright are many times just victims of active rooms.

I used 3m 77 adhesive spray to bind the burlap to the 703. It was forgiving of mistakes and worked well. Also, I used 4 impaling clips to hang each panel. Leave the back of the 703 open and uncovered in order to use the clips. They do not pierce the burlap easily enough.

After installing almost 40 sq. feet of bass traps in the Rubicon 7 studio last week, I was expecting less bass...but it turns out that quite a few of the problems were heavy nulls that have now gone away making the low end so much fuller and more even. In addition to the front wall and the first order reflections on the side, the entire back wall and corners are covered by 2" to 4" of traps. I’ll post more about it on the http://www.rubicon7.net/ website in case anyone is interested in how we did it, how ATS is awesome, and what lessons we learned along the way. ATS Acoustics now has a customer for life!

Our panels are up and we believe they helped a lot. We had some windows, and sound system sound booth overhang to work around. This is why it looks like it does. It really helped the echo even just putting on the back wall of the sanctuary.

Hi All- I’m new to this home theater technology, but fortunate to have a great AV guy who has done an excellent job. I relied on him re: the ’’science’’ of acoustics and wanted movie poster
(scanned) panels to accentuate that theater ambiance. The first 4 were done ’’prior’’ to me finding ATS; they were merely OK, but one was printed lopsided and ’’I’’ had to correct it using some artistic acumen and colored Magic Marker. The company did NOT make good on their word to fix this nor return my posters used.ATS printed a ’’finer’’ (resolution) result, perfectly symetrical, AND, mounts the panel to luan backer wood for rigidity; a total CLASS ACT and at HALF the cost of the previous ones, and 1/3rd the costof another high-end supplier who couldn’t have done better! BRAVO to your very kind, helpful and ’’capable’’ team! My Best, Lar W.

Hi guys.
I just wanted to leave a comment to tell you how happy I am with the corner bass traps you made for me. I have spent a significant amount of money to upgrade everything from my amp, speakers, source and cables in the never ending quest to reach the musical reproduction heard at live events.
No one purchase has made a greater leap towards that goal then your bass traps.
Having a room that isn’t an ideal shape (12 x 14 x 8) creates problems like standing bass nodes, bass suck out and room loading that wreak havoc on imaging, soundstage and focus. After placing the corner traps, floor to ceiling behind the speakers, those issues disappeared. I’m hearing new details in recording I’ve listened to hundreds of times before. It’s as if the bass traps were acting like a vacuum, sucking up all the standing and reflecting sound waves that degrading the sound.
A new component would have never been able to achieve the same results.
With many thanks
Mark

I recently built a home for my daughter with a large family room, dining room and kitchen. The room is about 900 sq ft with 12 foot ceilings.

The room is a loft like room and is all hardwood floors with 2 area rugs. The room was very live with a great deal of echo.

I’ve built a couple of dedicated home theaters and used Owens Cornings acoustic panels and bass traps. I am fairly versed in acoustic panels and I knew my daughter’s home would need acoustic treatment. She did not want just plain panels in this large live room/

I just purchased 6 of the graphic coffee bag panels in a 2 ft by 2 ft configuration. I purchased one 2 ft by 4 ft plain panel. Above the kitchen cabinets is a gap of about 3 feet to the ceiling. I placed 3 of the 2x4 Owens Corning 703 panels horizontally and they were hidden by crown modeling on the upper cabinets.

The result was remarkable. The echo is gone and the tv and movie dialogue have improved immensely.
The coffee panels are very interesting and my daughter’s loves them.

Customer service was excellent and the price was very reasonable. I could not be happier. I will use their products on other homes that I will be building.

I recommend ATS Acoustics to anyone building a studio on a budget. I’ve been on many websites searching for acoustic treatment that fit my budget, and by far ATS has the lowest price range. Don’t let the low price question the quality. I’m leaving my comment to say they products ’’really’’ works. I’ve been mixing my own music for 3yrs now, and could never get my mixes translate well outside my home studio until now. The 4’’ panels in corners works very well on the low end. Whats so amazing, I didn’t have to spend thousands of dollars to get professional quality recordings. Thanks ATS looking to buy more in the future.
